Andreas & Jens

We ran into each other during a season in Chamonix while desperately looking for somewhere to stay. No shared roof but a lot of skiing together. Back in Sweden, we realized another shared interest – sailing. At first we sailed Maxi Racer and these days we sail CB66 and of course the J80. From the day Andreas bought an old carpentry in Åre, there has been more skiing in Sweden and much less in France.

Andreas owns a house/hovel in Åre which is becoming less primitive each year. Last year, water pipes were brought into the house and this year a rotten gable was exchanged. This summer Andreas managed to complete Kalmar Triathlon (Iron Man).

 

Jens

Age: 33
Profession: IT-consultant and runs his own company
Sails: J80

Jens did not make his millions during the IT-boom. When that party was over he bought a Fiat Panda instead and went to Chamonix. Two seasons later he had learned more about steep couloirs than his mother thought was necessary. He spent the spring polishing the bottom of the J80. He sailed Maxi Racer before and sometimes misses the luxury and convenience of the previous boat.
